No. The version you bought keeps working on your Mac for as long as macOS supports it. Updates add new features and fix bugs; they don't gate the existing app. If you let your update window expire, the version you have on the day it expires is yours to keep.
One licence covers up to 5 Macs signed in with the same email — your work Mac, home Mac, MacBook, a spare, plus one more. If you've reached the limit and want to add a new Mac, deactivate an old one from Preferences → Account → Devices on any signed-in Mac (or email us) and the new one slots into its place. Genuine "I had to nuke and reinstall" cases never count against you — just email and we'll free the slot.
Yes. Cancel the subscription, then buy whichever perpetual tier suits — last month's subscription payment isn't pro-rated against the perpetual price. If you'd like a credit applied, email dan@trulyuseful.com.au and we'll work it out case by case.
Different people commit differently. Monthly is for "I'm not sure yet". The 1-year perpetual is for "I want to own a version of this and pay once". Lifetime is for "I know I'll keep using it for years and I'd rather not think about it again". Same app, same features — only the time horizon changes.
