What "perpetual" means here

  • For perpetual licences, the version you bought keeps running forever. Even after the included update window ends, ScreenshotTray keeps launching and doing its job on your Mac. Monthly access runs through the paid or grace window.
  • "Updates" means the new features and bug-fixes shipped after your purchase. A 1-year perpetual licence gets you 12 months of new releases. After that, your current version still works — you just stop receiving the new ones.
  • Same app, same code, while your tier is active. The pricing tier changes how long you receive updates and, for monthly licences, how long access remains active. Every active tier unlocks every feature.

What's included on every tier

  • Native macOS app, signed and notarised by Apple
  • Use on up to 5 Macs you sign in to
  • iPhone screenshot pairing (no extra cost, no separate iOS purchase)
  • Email support at dan@trulyuseful.com.au
  • 14-day refund policy, no questions asked, every tier
  • Cancel or change tier any time

Frequently asked

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every download gets 7 days of full ScreenshotTray for free, no card up-front. After that, pick a plan to keep using it. Every paid plan also includes a 14-day no-questions-asked refund — see the refund policy.

Will my perpetual licence stop working when updates run out?

No. The version you bought keeps working on your Mac for as long as macOS supports it. Updates add new features and fix bugs; they don't gate the existing app. If you let your update window expire, the version you have on the day it expires is yours to keep.

What happens if I switch Macs? Is there a Mac limit?

One licence covers up to 5 Macs signed in with the same email — your work Mac, home Mac, MacBook, a spare, plus one more. If you've reached the limit and want to add a new Mac, deactivate an old one from Preferences → Account → Devices on any signed-in Mac (or email us) and the new one slots into its place. Genuine "I had to nuke and reinstall" cases never count against you — just email and we'll free the slot.

Can I move from monthly to perpetual later?

Yes. Cancel the subscription, then buy whichever perpetual tier suits — last month's subscription payment isn't pro-rated against the perpetual price. If you'd like a credit applied, email dan@trulyuseful.com.au and we'll work it out case by case.

Why three tiers instead of one?

Different people commit differently. Monthly is for "I'm not sure yet". The 1-year perpetual is for "I want to own a version of this and pay once". Lifetime is for "I know I'll keep using it for years and I'd rather not think about it again". Same app, same features — only the time horizon changes.
