Refund Policy

Last updated: 29 April 2026

Our promise in plain English

If you're not happy with ScreenshotTray for any reason, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase. No questions, no qualifiers, no forms. Applies to every product and every customer.

The 14-day money-back guarantee

You can request a full refund within 14 days of any paid purchase, for any reason or no reason at all. The guarantee applies uniformly across the monthly subscription, the 1-year perpetual licence, the lifetime perpetual licence, and any renewal or top-up charge.

How to ask — two ways

Self-service through Paddle (fastest). Open paddle.net and sign in with your purchase email. Inside the 14-day window, refund requests are auto-approved and the money is released back to your card the same business day.

Or email us. Write to dan@trulyuseful.com.au from the address you used to buy the App, with your Paddle order number if you have it (it's in your purchase confirmation email). We action it the same business day. Funds typically reach your bank within 3–5 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Outside the 14-day window

Even outside the 14 days, please email us and explain what happened — we're a small Australian developer and we'd rather have a happy non-customer than an unhappy one. We can't promise a refund in every case (Paddle's chargeback rules and the time elapsed since purchase both come into play), but we'll always look at the request individually and reply in plain language.

Chargebacks

If something seems wrong with a charge, please email us before opening a chargeback with your bank. Almost every chargeback case we've seen is a misunderstanding we could have resolved in 10 minutes.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this refund policy limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (if you're an Australian consumer), the EU Consumer Rights Directive (if you're an EU consumer), or any equivalent consumer-protection statute applicable in your country. Those rights apply on top of the policy described above.

Who processes the refund

Our payment processor Paddle.com is the merchant of record for every paid transaction. Refunds are issued by Paddle on our instruction, against the original payment method. Paddle's own refund policy describes their part of the process; their support team can also be reached for billing-only questions through paddle.net.
